Continent of the Ninth PvP

Continent of the Ninth Survival

Survival is a nice way to earn EXP, money, and other rewards. Do them as soon as possible!

You need to pay to enter in the Fortune Survival.

Credits goes to the video uploaders.

Recko Mountains Survival  (45-54)

Okapia Survival (55-59)

Sarad Survival (60-63)

Fortune Survival

Continent of the Ninth Mentor System

The mentoring system is available to players level 40+ AND players level 25 and below. The higher level character is the mentor while the lower one is the student. The mentor will receive guild points as rewards while the student will receive bonus EXP. A mentor can have up to 3 students. Whoever exits the game breaks the mentor/student relation.

Continent of the Ninth Intrusion

The Intrusion system is available to players level 25 and over. It allows players to invade someone's instace and fight them. If the intruder successfully defeats the host, a Blood Token is awarded. If the host successfully defeats the intruder, an Aegis Token is awarded. These tokens are then traded for rewards from the Intrusion Master. Invaders cannot use Fury Formation, and their equips are weaker. Once they take control of the instance, the limitations are lifted.

Continent of the Ninth Item Enhancement

I'll cover the basics of item enhancing (and continue on crafting a little).

Spellstones
Spellstones are pretty much the runes of C9. They allow you to dish more damage against a certain race of enemies or in a region (Goblin Lands for example of a region). There are 2 types of Spellstones, Slayer and Permanent. The Permanent type is better because unlike the Slayer type, it doesn't have a chance to break if you die. To place a Spellstone in a weapon or armor, you need to talk to a jeweller. To unblock a Spellstone slot, you need to have Nether Sand with you.

Enhance Stones
Enhance Stones are used to upgrade weapons of Magic grade or higher. There are 3 ranks of Enhance Stones, Magic>Ancient>Divine. They're for level 30 and below, 51 and below, and 70 and below respectively. If you want to upgrade a Enhance Stone to the next grade, put 10 in the Nitro Cube and fuse them. I think the process may fail.

Armor Enhancers
Armor Enhancers are used to upgrade armors of Magic grade or higher. There are 3 ranks of Armor Enhancers, Inferior>Superior>Exceptional. They're for level 30 and below, 51 and below, and 70 and below respectively. If you want to upgrade a Armor Enhancer to the next grade, put 10 in the Nitro Cube and fuse them. I think the process may fail.

Crystals (Enhancing)
Crystals are used to upgrade accessories of Magic grade or higher. There are 3 ranks of Crystals, Pure>Mysterious>Heavenly. They're for level 30 and below, 51 and below, and 70 and below respectively. If you want to upgrade a Crystal to the next grade, put 10 in the Nitro Cube and fuse them. I think the process may fail.

Elemental Gems
Elemental gems are created by Alchemists I believe. They are created by using Elemental Powders. If you put them on weapons, you will deal elemental damage to foes. If you put it on armors, your resistance to elements will rise.

WARNING:Do NOT put different Elemental Gems on a weapon or they will conflict with each other!

Ores
Ores are used to craft armors, weapons, or accessories. Their level goes from 15 to 57 and their grade goes from Common>Magic>Rare>Perfect. To get them, you need to refine an item of Common grade or higher.

Item ranks
There are 7 ranks of items.
Old>Common>Magic>Rare>Perfect>Unique>Master.

You can extract a Spellstone or Elemental gem from an item, however, it will break the item in the process.

MapleStory Bosses Rules

I will explain what is the "Death Counter" and certain bosses' attacks.

Continent of the Ninth Blade Dancer

The Blade Dancer might look weak but in the hands of a master, she's barely touchable. She can easily dispatch a small or medium sized pack of enemies. If she's out numbered, she has skills to dash to safety while hurting her aggressors. Her Skill Stone consumption is pretty high.

The Slayer is pretty balanced. Good mobility and offense. She can be very dangerous if you know how to dodge with her.

MapleStory Questions & Answers

Q:Why can't I create "insert character here"?
A:They're limited time characters. They come back for special occasions like MapleStory's anniversary, Halloween, Christmas, when they're revamped. ETC...

Q:You said Zero was a ONE-TIME release!? Where did you get this information?
A:Blogs; random comments; this info came from Nexon korea itself! With RED's trailer.

Q:What are the requirements to fight "insert boss here"?
A:Refer to the following boss pages. Spawning, Mystic Gates, Major, Root Abyss.

Q:What are the bosses rewards?
A:Here.

Q:Do you copy your tips from other sources? Cause I think you are, you tip stealer!
A:When I copy paste things from others, they're put in the credits. Read ALL the posts you meanie! =(

Q:What is the required level and range to solo "insert boss"?
A:They'll be posted on their respective boss page when ready.

Q:Do you have tips for getting Mesos easily?
A:Here.

Q:Which scroll can I use on Hayato's and Kanna's weapon?
A:2-Handed sword scrolls for Hayato, and Wand scrolls for Kanna.

A:

MapleStory Mesos making & saving!

OK! Want to know how to earn Mesos!? Want to know how to spend less!? Look no further! Don't look away! Look just right here!

First! The necessary characters!

Angelic Buster:She doesn't need MP potions and she can quickly dispatch enemies

Kanna:She doesn't need MP potions and has a skill that allows her to heal 5% of HP every time she kills an enemy

Kaiser:His normal attack is pretty strong and he can heal 5% of HP & MP every 4 seconds

Demon Slayer:Doesn't need MP; has a skill that heals 50% of HP (5 seconds cooldown)

Demon Avenger:Doesn't need MP; HP potions have more effect on him; can heal completely when releasing his overload

Battle Mage:Heals up to 5% of the damage he does (he heals FAST!)

Dark Knight:Can heal ridiculously fast when attacking.

Paladin:Has a skill at 3rd job that allows him to heal 40% of HP. Plus their defense is huge!

These characters can cut the Mesos spending by 10% on potions alone! Make them alchemists and you'll spend even LESS!

Try to hunt major bosses with high level players and loot the potions! Most of the time, I sell Sunset/Sunrise Dews to NPCs. The Sunset Dews sells for 5,100 the piece!

You can also do Party Quests that are level 70-100. The bosses inside usually drop Reindeer Milk, Sunrise Dew, Sunset Dew, Elixirs, and Power Elixirs. ALL! TRADEABLE!

You can gather Waru and turn them into Monster Life coins by talking to Clara. Then buy potions from Jimmy-Jack!

Buy Reindeer Milk, Sunset Dews, and Sunrise Dews from Azwan. Depending on your job, you could even sell them for a total of 100k. Do this for 10 days and you'll get 1m!

THAT'S how you save Mesos on potions!

Want to save Mesos on equips?
Craft them yourself! If you can, be your fusioning partner if you don't trust people! If you want to know how to gather items to turn them into crystals, read the tip section!

I'll post more ways of saving and making when I find more!

Continent of the Ninth Tips

Sometimes, you'll encounter chests with a dark aura around them. Open them to find good loots!

If you clear a stage with a rank of Excellent you'll get a bead marked with an "E". I assume you'll get better rewards from it. I wonder what happens if you clear a stage with a Perfect score...

Silver Chunks, Magic Enhance Stones, Inferior Armor Enhancers, and D grade materials are easily found in the first continent.

C grade materials are easily found on the second continent.

DO NOT leave the first continent before getting your profession to level 20, or else you'll just be loaded with C grade materials when you go to the second continent, unless you buy D grade materials (NOT recommended).

Elemental damages received from Elemental Gems are completely nullified in PvP. I'm not sure if intrusion counts as PvP.

To enter in a hidden stage, you need a map. To get the map, you need to collect 3 pieces and exchange them with an Adventure Agent. Same thing applies for hell mode stages. You get map pieces and hell pieces from beads (Master).

The point of Hidden stages is to acquire tons of gold and easily get items above Old rank. If you manage to protect the Gnomes that are getting a beating, they'll open special chests for you.

Metalworkers, Tailors, and Woodworkers can craft guild furnitures. Guild furnitures gives buffs if they're placed in the guild house.

Continent of the Ninth Guild listing

Continent of the Ninth Crafting

The descriptions comes from the game itself.

You can only CHOOSE ONE profession. And it is PERMANENT!

The materials come in grade D to A.

Alchemy
Material:Recovery Herb & Stimulant Herb
Alchemists create magical concoctions using special herbs and other ingredients.

Alchemists find their materials throughout Glenheim. As their proficiency improves, they can create potions that offer special bonuses. Veteran alchemists can specialise in illusions, healing, or augmentation.

Cuisine
Material:Meat & Wheat
Chefs use edible ingredients to cook special food that can raise character stats.

Chefs find their ingredients throughout Glenheim. As their proficiency improves, they can create dishes which offer special bonuses.
Veteran chefs can specialise in food, drinks, or desserts.

Metalwork
Material:Iron Scraps
Metalworkers craft goods using metals and other minerals.

Metalworkers find their materials throughout Glenheim. As their proficiency improves, they can create items that offer special bonuses.
Veteran metalworkers can specialise in weapons, armor, or accessories.

Tailoring
Material:Leather Scraps & Cloth Patch
Tailors sew clothing using fabric and leather.

Tailors find their materials throughout Glenheim. As their proficiency improves, they can create clothing that offers special bonuses.
Veteran tailors can specialise in cloth armor, leather armor, or craft works.

Woodwork
Material:Lumber
Woodworkers craft goods using various types of lumber.

Woodworkers find their materials throughout Glenheim. As their proficiency improves, they can create items that offer special bonuses.
Veteran woodworkers can specialise in furniture, craft works, or daily necessities.

So... let's get down to it!
Metalworkers can craft perfect grade weapons and accessories. They also make necessary materials for armors, weapons, and a few other things.

Woodworkers create materials necessary for crafting guns and bows.

Tailors create materials necessary for armors (Witchblade, Shaman, Mystic).

Alchemists create potions for healing HP or MP. They also create materials necessary for items in general.

Chefs creates food which makes your stats go higher.

To remember which character has which profession, I do this

Fighters are in search of new weapons, so they craft their own with METAL!

Hunters love their bows, so they'll do anything to get their hands on high quality WOOD!

Shamans are awesome doctors with potions they make with HERBS!

Witchblades sew their own armor with LEATHER and other CLOTHING materials.

Continent of the Ninth Dungeons

There are 5 ranks at the end of a stage; Bad>Normal>Good>Excellent>Perfect. The rank depends on how many times you were hit, how many enemies you killed with skills, your combo count, number of kills without being hit, air combos, counter attacks, and total number of kills. In short, go in a dungeon solo, kill EVERYTHING in your way while having a high combo count, and don't get hit. Each rank gives you a key. Bad (0), Perfect (4).

Stages proficiency levels are located beside the name of the difficulty you chose. It goes from F to S. The higher it is, the stronger you get in that difficulty. All you have to do is play the stage over and over until you have a S.

Continent of the Ninth Story

Continent of the Ninth Basics

Wanna create a character but don't know which one? Read below then!

The Fighter (and his advanced classes) is recommended for new players due to their easy to use nature and high HP. You can easily get a beating and not die right away with them.

The Hunter (and his advanced classes) is recommended for advanced players because they have medium/low HP, needs ammunition, and require precise timing/aim for their skills. But if one is able to master them, they'll be beasts of immense power (and DPS).

The Shaman (and her advanced classes) is recommended for intermediate players because of medium/low HP. But she can dish out a GOOD amount of pain on her enemies before going down!

The Witchblade (and her advanced classes) is recommended for new players, despite the medium HP.

So. You finished creating your character? GOOD! Here comes the few things you need to know, now!

At level 10, you'll get a quest and become an Elite "insert the class you chose here". What does that mean? Super Saiyan form baby (well, the energy burst reminded me of that)!

You'll choose which advanced class you want to be at level 20. Now the REAL adventure starts! I've heard that at level 50, even more power awaits you!

Continent of the Ninth Table of Contents

The guide is doing pretty well. All that's left is the skill list... oh man...

Most descriptions for the classes comes from my observation from videos. So I may (or not) be accurate about them.

Even if the pages for skills are there, barely a thing is written on them. It'll take a REALLY long time to finish this.
